Laboratory Introduction

The laboratories in the Department of Semiconductor Engineering are dedicated to breaking through the physical and technical limits of semiconductor devices, advanced materials, and next-generation fabrication processes. As the miniaturization of semiconductor manufacturing accelerates, our research groups focus heavily on atomic layer deposition (ALD), advanced etching technologies, and the synthesis of novel two-dimensional nanomaterials.

Leveraging our world-class cleanroom infrastructure, we have established a comprehensive research ecosystem that spans from theoretical device simulation to actual fabrication and characterization. Active industry-academic projects focus on optimizing thin-film processes for high-performance memory and non-memory devices, developing wide-bandgap compound semiconductors (SiC, GaN) for power efficiency, and designing eco-friendly manufacturing equipment. Our laboratories serve as a global cradle for securing core technologies in materials, components, and equipment, while nurturing top-tier talent to redefine tomorrow’s fabrication paradigms.
