Through basic science and applied science convergence education in the semiconductor field, which is the basis of modern industrial technology, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering aims to cultivate talents who lead global research and industrial development by cultivating basic knowledge of semiconductors and application of next-generation semiconductor devices and creative thinking skills. It teaches next-generation semiconductor design, semiconductor device process, and device analysis, and based on this, leads semiconductor industry technology and research globally, and provides an integrated curriculum for creative and new semiconductor device development. It aims to promote academic development in the next-generation semiconductor field by converging with technologies in the electrical and electronic and information fields, and to cultivate industrial-specific talents suitable for the technology demand required by the semiconductor industry. Based on this, it produces high-quality talent needed in the semiconductor field, large companies, small and medium-sized companies, and research institutes.
OBJECTIVES OF THE MAJOR
The Department of Semiconductor Engineering strengthens the basic concept with an understanding of basic subjects such as physics and chemistry and knowledge of physical electrons such as electromagnetism and circuit theory in order to cultivate professional manpower necessary for the next-generation semiconductor industry based on the memory semiconductor industry, which has the world's No. 1 technology. Based on this, we will learn semiconductor engineering, semiconductor processing, semiconductor equipment, and analysis to cultivate key talents who will work in the high-tech semiconductor industry.
