Semiconductor Engineering student Yoon-hyuk Jung, published a series of papers on Nanoscale and Small Method

Semiconductor student Jeong Yoon-hyuk (Professor Jo Cho-sik, Professor Park Min-gyu, Honorary Professor Kwon Sang-jik) from Gachon University's Semiconductor Display Laboratory published papers in Nanoscale (IF=5.1) and Small Methods (IF=9.1) while attending a master's degree.

The title of the related paper, which was jointly studied with Pulse-forge, a xenon flash lamp equipment company, under the sponsorship of the "Organic Light-Emitting Display Professional Training Project," is "Rapid Turn-on Voltage Engineering of a-IGZO TFTs Using Xenon Flash Lamp Annaling for Logic-Compatible Oxide Electronics" and "Simultuous Substrate Debonding and Device Annaling of Flexible a-IGZO Thin-Film Transistors on Colorless Polyimide via Single-Shot Xenon Flash Lamp Irradiation", which is an oxide semiconductor with an indium-gallium-zinc oxide thin film as a channel layer.

To this end, Jeong Yun-hyuk first confirmed the xenon flash lamp annealing effect of the indium-gallium-zinc oxide thin film transistor fabricated on a silicon substrate and published the results in Nanoscale. Later, he succeeded in developing a complex process technology that simultaneously achieves mechanical separation of the substrate and thermal annealing of high-performance devices with only a single xenon flash lamp irradiation on a colorless polyimide (CPI) substrate. This result was submitted to Small Methods earlier this year, and a related paper was published in May.
"We are happy to simultaneously solve substrate separation and device stability in the production of flexible displays in a single optical process while increasing the electrical characteristics of oxide semiconductors that are essential for next-generation flexible displays," said student Jeong Yoon-hyuk. "We hope that the results of this study will contribute to advancing the optimization of integrated circuits and commercialization of flexible electronic devices in future display panels."
